Ms. Supatson Seemued, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 1, assigned staff from the Hydrology Section 2, Chiang Rai, to participate in the seminar on "Driving Agricultural Technology and Innovation to Enhance Farmers' Potential in Response to Climate Change." The seminar was chaired by Ms. Piyarat Tiyapairat, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and attended by Mr. Chuchip Pongchai, Governor of Chiang Rai Province, executives from the Department of Agricultural Extension, heads of government agencies, representatives from the public and private sectors, educational institutions, partner networks, and approximately 400 farmers. The seminar aimed to disseminate knowledge and innovations suitable for the area and climate, and to provide a platform for exchange among the government, private sector, educational institutions, model farmers, and partner networks to foster collaboration in developing agriculture to effectively cope with climate change. The event included exhibitions from Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao, and Phrae, among others. This initiative will help farmers access appropriate technologies and innovations, use data for production planning, reduce costs and risks, increase efficiency and quality of produce, create added value and income, and better cope with changing climate conditions.
